Isle of Man-based online gambling software provider Microgaming
has earned and obtained a high reputation in the online gaming world,
one of excellence and quality. Their success was honoured last year when
they received the “2009 Isle of Man Newspapers Award for Innovation and
Independent Thinking.”
The annual awards celebrate achievement, dedication and
excellence across all economic sectors of business and the community on
the Isle of Man.
The awarding committee recognised Microgaming as a leader
in the e-Gaming sector, and applauds the innovative thinking that has
successfully driven the business forward since it developed the first
online casino software over a decade ago. Microgaming has been praised
for its efforts in promoting responsible gambling worldwide as well as
locally with the establishment of the Microgaming Health and Care Trust.
The company's research and development department have come up with many
inventive 'firsts' for gaming enthusiasts.
This is not the first time that the gambling company has
been recognised by the media; Roger Raatgever, Microgaming CEO, was named
Business Person of the Year in 2008; as well as being awarded Company
of the Year. In 2007, Microgaming also won the award for New Business
and Programme Development.
Microgaming also supports the Island’s awards by sponsoring
an award in a category for “Customer Service”.
